A Rule contains a set of conditions that are evaluated when a Test, Action, or Step is run.

Creating a Rule

Step 1

Rules can be created from the "Rules" page, or clicking on the "Rules" button in the dashboard's navigation panel.

Step 2

From the "Rules" page, click on the "New Rule" button.

Step 3

Fill out the "New Rule" form to create your Rule.

Field Description
Title The name of the rule.
Description A breif description of the rule.
Details Additional details & purpose of the rule.

Assigning Rules

Rules can be assigned to Tests, Actions, and Steps.

Step 1

To assign a Rule, click into the "Rules" tab on the profile page of the item.

Step 2

From the "Rules" tab, click into the "Assign Rule" button.

Step 3

From there, you should see a list of Rules. Click on the "+ Assign" button to assign the Rule.

You should now see the Rule listed under the "Rules" tab for that item.


The Open Worldwide Application Security Project® (OWASP) is a nonprofit foundation that works to improve the security of software. The OWASP Foundation is a trusted resource for developers and technologists in web application security. A set of Conditions are available for use that test key web application security issues sourced from OWASP. The Rule can be added via the "Rules" page.

Click on the ellipses button, then select the "Add OWASP Rule".

A new OWASP Rule will be created with conditions and additional details that you can use for testing.
